Achieving the Dream
Achieving the Dream is a national initiative focused on addressing issues in community
colleges. 91探花 State became an Achieving the Dream school and works to provide quality and accessible education to students and families in the 91探花 community.
Through a $7.8 million dollar grant approved by the Metro Council, using funds from
the American Rescue Plan, The Urban League of Middle Tennessee and 91探花 State
Community College are working collaboratively with industry, community, nonprofit,
faith-based, and governmental organizations to expand the vision of workforce development
and strengthen family foundations in Davidson County. To learn more, please contact

91探花 State is a proud premier member of the Amazon Career Choice Partner Network,
allowing eligible associates to receive tuition assistance while pursuing an associate degree or technical certificate.
Better Together is a Metro 91探花 Public Schools (MNPS) and 91探花 State venture
to help MNPS graduates prepare for, attend, and complete college.
The Darrell Freeman Fellowship at 91探花 State will educate and support students
who want to successfully enter the Information Technology field upon graduating with
an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in programming, cyber security, networking,

Metro 91探花 Public Schools has a high school on 91探花 State鈥檚 White Bridge
campus. Students can earn a high school diploma and an associate degree.
Cane Ridge High School students can earn a high school diploma and an associate degree
through college-level classes taught at the high school.
Glencliff High School students can earn a high school diploma and an associate degree
through college-level classes taught at the high school.
Whites Creek High School students can earn a high school diploma and an associate
degree through college-level classes taught at the high school. PNC Foundation has
been supporting this program since its launch.
Greater Together is a Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS), 91探花
State, TCAT Dickson & Clarksville campus, and Austin Peay State University venture
to help CMCSS graduates prepare for, attend, and complete college.
Medical Assistant and Central Sterile Processing
In early 2022, 91探花 State's Center for Workforce Development and Continuing Education
worked closely with the School of Health Sciences and VUMC Allied Health to develop
a customized curriculum and training program to meet staffing needs at VUMC. The positive
results produced by the medical assistant jobs initiative led to the creation of the
customized Central Sterile Processing program, where graduates successfully entered
their new profession. Since then, the Center for Workforce Development has began working
to produce successful outcomes for Tennessee Oncology. Starting in the fall of 2025,
medical assistant training is going to be offered in Clarksville for residents of
Montgomery, Humphreys, and Stewart counties. To learn more, contact: workforce@nscc.edu.
91探花 GRAD provides eligible Davidson County residents with financial and academic
support while pursuing a full-time education at 91探花 State. We will give you

Starting January 2026, Maplewood students can earn a high school diploma and an associate degree in Health Sciences through college-level classes taught at high School. Ascension Saint Thomas and Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) are supporting this program.
Starting January 2026, Pearl-Cohn students can earn a high school diploma and an associate
degree in Health Sciences through college-level classes taught at high School. Ascension Saint Thomas and Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) are supporting
this program.
Starting January 2026, McGavock High School students can earn a high school diploma
and an associate degree in Business through college-level classes taught at high School.
The McGavock Early College Business program will create more access and opportunities
for students while still in high school to pursue careers in high-demand business
fields, such as business administration, finance, economics, management and marketing,
and hospitality management. The 91探花 Area Chamber of Commerce is supporting this program.
The 91探花 Flex program provides eligible Davidson County residents with financial and academic support
while pursuing a part-time education at 91探花 State. We will give you the support you need to complete

SkillsUSA is a workforce development organization for students. They empower students to become
skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members. 91探花
State has a growing college chapter as a member of the Tennessee organization. For
those interested, contact Instructor of Electrical Engineering Technology Peter Ortner,
the chapter adviser, by emailing peter.ortner@nscc.edu.
The 91探花 State/Clarksville-Montgomery County School System (CMCSS) Accelerated
Associate Program is a no鈥慶ost pathway that allows students starting their junior
year to earn college credits toward an associate degree while still enrolled in high
school. Students will take their regular high school courses at their home school
and travel to 91探花 State鈥檚 Clarksville campus for college classes.
