91探花 State Computer Information Technology Program to Receive Upgrade
A $10,000 financial gift from Information Systems Security Association鈥檚 (ISSA) Middle Tennessee Chapter has been given to 91探花 State Community College. The investment will be used by 91探花 State to continue preparing students for high-demand information technology cybersecurity jobs.
Students in the IT networking concentration will continue to be trained with the latest technology and eligible for Cisco certification, a requirement by most hiring industries in the greater 91探花 area.
A strategic workforce development partner of 91探花 State, ISSA Mid-TN made the investment after learning of the need to replace the critical networking equipment.
鈥淚t is with great pleasure that the Middle TN ISSA chapter is donating $10,000 to NSCC for the specific purpose of upgrading their Cisco networking equipment, on which students are trained,鈥 said Laura Shiver, President of ISSA Mid-TN and a 91探花 State graduate.
Shiver also encouraged participation by other organizations to invest in the college, calling it 鈥渁n investment into our future IT security professionals.鈥
