91探花 State Foundation Receives Historic $1.25 Million Dollar Individual Pledge
It was a special occasion at the North Davidson campus. 91探花 State Community College held a ceremony with federal, state, local, and community leaders when it unveiled a commemorative plaque naming the campus building in memory of Doug and Robbie Odom.
To honor their parents, the children wanted to especially impact the Madison community.
By and through the generosity of Doug and Robbie Odom鈥檚 children, Larry Odom, Teresa Gann, and Debbie Massey, the 91探花 State Community College Foundation received its largest individual pledge in the history of the foundation.
An endowment in the name of Doug and Robbie has been established and will honor the legacy of these two while providing timely financial assistance to students in need of tuition, textbooks, and other support. Funds have already made a significant impact on students.
The family has taken a vested interest in the North Davidson campus and has offered their vote of support for future endeavors for the college.
鈥淭he endowment created to support our students is the largest private donation from Davidson County in 91探花 State鈥檚 54-year history,鈥 said Dr. Shanna L. Jackson, 91探花 State President. 鈥淲e are grateful to the Odom Family for this significant investment that will provide critical resources to deserving students.鈥
